The Dewarists is a new original series. Part music documentary and part travelogue, the show features inspiring musicians collaborating to create original music while traveling to locations across India.
Set against the frenetic pace of the city of Mumbai, Episode 2 features a cross-border collaboration between Pakistani singer-songwriter duo Zeb & Haniya, and two veterans of Bollywood — composer Shantanu Moitra, and lyricist Swanand Kirkire.
Ankit Daftery, an Engineering student from Mumbai, has created an Android app called “BrailleType“, which allows visually challenged people to type on touchscreen phones in the same fashion as they read Braille.
The premise of the app is pretty simple — it offers a blank input area with a small text box at the bottom of the screen. In the input area, Braille users can type using the Braille character set which has been pre-configured into the app. This text is then read aloud and shown in the text box.
Ankit aims to soon rollout this app as an alternative keyboard on Android and is also looking forward to get Braille Type on other platforms.
