The process of losing residents and seeking out new ones is a never-ending cycle. No problem, right? You’ve got a system. It involves a rental application that’s been scanned and faxed a hundred times, and some cool color-coded stickies, and you punch it into Excel a couple of different times, and then it goes on the white board…. Then your applicant hands you a check, and then you need to fax that again…but no, not that—that’s their social! Paper clips? Where are the paper clips?! Yeah, great system…. It’s an inefficient time-waster that can’t handle your current volume. If you can’t process those apps fast enough, those space-hungry masses will just go elsewhere.
